Most recently, she served as Chief Strategy Officer at Hospice Hawaiʻi, overseeing marketing and fundraising, admissions, leadership, special projects and strategy development. Prior to joining Hospice Hawaiʻi in 2008, Carapelho was Vice President of Marketing &amp; Business Development for Hawaiʻi Pacific Entertainment. She also previously held positions with Destination Marketing Hawaiʻi, KHON-TV and Starr Seigle McCombs. Born and raised in Hawaiʻi, Carapelho holds a master’s degree in business administration from Hawaiʻi Pacific University and a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>As the founder and president of Hawaii VA Loans, Gabe Amey spearheads the company in educating Hawaiʻi’s veterans on how to utilize their VA Home Loan benefits. Gabe founded his first non-profit, The Hawaiʻi VA Foundation, in 2013 to financially assist military based charities in the state. He also founded non-profit RISEHI to inspire kamaʻāina to seize all opportunities while preserving Hawaiʻi’s culture. He was named Pacific Business News Top 40 Under 40 in 2016, American Marketing Association’s young marketer of the year in 2018 and was selected to join Omidyar Fellows Program in its sixth cohort.  Gabe graduated with a bachelor’s in business management from Menlo College.</image:caption>

He volunteers year-round as a keynote speaker for various non-profits, and serves as an active board member for After-School All-Stars, the Waikiki Community Center, and the Make-A-Wish Young Leader’s Board.       <image:caption>As Hawai‘i Energy’s deputy director, Caroline Carl oversees the detailed planning and execution of a range of residential and commercial energy efficiency programs. With 12 years of project management experience in energy and sustainability, Caroline spearheads numerous collaborative planning efforts with industry stakeholders and designs innovative initiatives to help Hawai‘i Energy achieve its energy savings targets. In addition, she serves on the board for the Women in Renewable Energy, the Hawaiʻi Solar Energy Association and the Hawaiʻi Clean Energy Initiative. She volunteered as a task force member for the Coral Reef Alliance (CORAL) from 2008-2011 and as the web GIS developer for West Hawaiʻi Sustainable Energy Project from 2012-2013. Caroline graduated from McGill University with a bachelor’s in environment and development and earned her master’s in geographic information systems and technology from the University of Southern California.</image:caption>

John is the ward finance manager for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a young professionals society member for Make-A-Wish Hawaiʻi’s Heroes for Hope. He served as a board member for Hawaiʻi’s chapter of the Youth Basketball Organization of America in 2014 and as a volunteer head basketball coach in 2017.       <image:caption>Yunji de Nies is a freelance journalist, who hosts Insights on PBS Hawaiʻi and anchors daily news videos for the Honolulu Star-Advertiser Digital Billboard Network. For five years, she anchored the evening news on KITV and before that worked as a White House and National Correspondent for ABC News, based in Washington D.C. and Atlanta, GA. Her reporting has taken her around the world, from the flooded streets of New Orleans covering Hurricane Katrina, to the halls of White House covering the Obama and Bush administrations. She has dedicated her time to a number of non-profits, including the American Cancer Society of Hawaii, Hospice Hawaii and the YWCA, and serves on the board of Honolulu Theater for Youth. Yunji graduated with honors with a degree in political science from Yale University and a Master's Degree in journalism from UC Berkeley. She grew up on the Kona side of the Big Island.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Malika Dudley is the chief meteorologist for Maui Now and Big Island Now news. Since starting at KGMB9 in 2007, Malika has been nominated for two Emmy Awards and has won the Edward R. Murrow Journalism Award for her reporting on Hawaiʻi’s 2011 tsunami damage. The former Miss Hawaiʻi is a nationally ranked karate black belt and has been a volunteer sensei at three dojos. Malika graduated from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa with a bachelor’s in Communicology and French. She attended Mississippi State University to become a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist. The mom of two lives on Maui with her husband, Kaimi Judd, and two children.</image:caption>

Kawika has managed a commercial real estate loan portfolio comprised of construction, affordable housing, hospitality, and income property loans across various asset classes located in Hawaiʻi and Guam. He worked for Wells Fargo in San Diego as a relationship manager in the Commercial Real Estate Banking Group and is a graduate of the bank’s Credit Management Training Program. He is a board member for The GIFT Foundation, Teach For America and Montessori Community School and a volunteer with Bank of Hawaiʻi’s Blue Crew, Habitat for Humanity, and Ka Papa Loʻi o Kanewai. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute Young Leaders and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. She recently helped to open the second phase of Kanikoʻo, an affordable senior housing complex in Lihue, collaborating with multiple companies such as Vitus Group, EAH Housing and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Kanani served as vice president for the Kauaʻi Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce in 2012. She graduated with a bachelor’s in mathematics from Pacific University and with a master’s in organizational change from Hawaiʻi Pacific University.</image:caption>

Naomi was named SBA Women in Business Champion in 2013. She co-founded Green Drinks Honolulu-Business Networking in 2007 and West Oʻahu Women in 2009. Naomi was also a premier sponsor and advisor to the Young Professionals for the Chamber of Commerce Hawaiʻi and a volunteer for the Rotary Club of Honolulu. Keslie also serves as an active manager of Intco Investments and commissioner for Honolulu Rate Commission. Fluent in Japanese, Yoh also provides translation support to the company’s visitors from Japan. An associate member of the U.S.-Japan Council, Yoh currently is serving as regional vice chair. Yoh is also an industrial advisory board member for University of Hawaiʻi’s Department of Electrical Engineering, and a board member for the Program Management Institute. He mentors high school students through coaching at Mid-Pacific Institute’s math team and the Lokahi Foundation. Yoh earned his bachelor’s in aerospace engineering from the University of Washington and his master’s in engineering management from Duke University.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Taylor Kellerman is the director of diversified agriculture and land stewardship for Kualoa Ranch. With the help from his team, Kellerman designed and launched the Taste of Kualoa, the ranch’s farm-to-table immersion tour that takes visitors behind the scenes of Kualoa’s agriculture. Taylor served as a treasurer for the Kunia Water Commission and the West Oʻahu Soil and Water Conservation District. He is currently a board member for the Agricultural Leadership Foundation of Hawaiʻi and the Oʻahu Resource Conservation and Development Council. Taylor also volunteered as a big brother for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hawaiʻi. Taylor graduated from the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo with a bachelor’s in tropical agriculture.</image:caption>

He served as the education chair of East Kauaʻi Lions Club from 2016-2017, as president of the Kauaʻi Bar Association in 2011, and as Kauaʻi Rural Health Association’s vice president in 2017. Since 2012, he has supported the Coalition for a Tobacco-Free Kauaʻi, having served as the organization’s vice chair in 2017. Justin earned his bachelor’s in history and political science from Boston University and his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.</image:caption>

Throughout his tenure, he has been asked to lead a number of builds and transformations, demonstrating strong strategic leadership skills as well as a commitment to the customer. Outside his profession, Jason serves as Treasurer and Executive Committee member for Aloha Medical Mission and was also Vice President of the Spalding Branch Board for the Boys and Girls Club of Hawaiʻi from 2012-2016. Graduating with honors from the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business in 2015, Jason served as an Executive Student Advisor and joined the faculty in 2018. A colon cancer survivor and mother of two, Mona believes in the power of aloha, family and positive psychology as a means of personal reflection and healing. An alumna of East-West Center's Asia Pacific Program, she also served as project manager for the Polynesian Voyaging Society's Promise to Pae ʻĀina collective impact effort. Mona graduated from Brigham Young University of Hawaiʻi with a bachelor’s in biological sciences. She also earned her master’s in public administration and a certificate in nonprofit management from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Eric Miller is a Major in the United States Army and is a strategic analyst for the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command at Camp Smith, Hawaiʻi. Eric has served in various Army command and staff positions in the Republic of Korea, Missouri, Kentucky, Iraq, and Hawaiʻi. While in Hawaiʻi from 2006-2011, Eric served as an operations officer at Fort Shafter, then moved to Schofield Barracks where he served as a logistics officer and as a commander of the 561st Engineer Company. Eric returned to Hawaiʻi in 2016 to his current position at Camp Smith. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri-Rolla, and a Master of Science in Operations Research from the Air Force Institute of Technology. Eric also holds a black belt in Lean Six Sigma. Eric enjoys leading an ohana group at his church. He helped to coach the West Point Wrestling Club and a youth soccer team. Eric is married to the former Michelle Storhaug of Mililani, Hawaiʻi. They have two young daughters.</image:caption>

Jonathan was also the alumni executive officer and co-chair for Dartmouth Energy Collaborative and executive vice president of National Society of Hispanic MBAs’ Denver chapter. Jonathan graduated from Cornell University with a multidisciplinary degree in astronomy, psychology and systems theory and earned a MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He lives on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi, with his wife, Dr. Janet Mitchell, and his ten month old son, Leo.</image:caption>

A clinical nurse practitioner, Jessica has worked closely with high-risk youth and has been a leading advocate for holistic services to this population since 2010. She was selected as a TedX Honolulu speaker in 2013 and was named one of the Faces of Nursing for the State of Hawaiʻi in 2010. She received the Emergency Medicine Physician Inc.’s Nurse Practitioner of the Year in 2012 and Pacific Business News’ 40 Under 40 leadership 2017 award. Jessica graduated with a nursing degree from University of California Long Beach and a M.S.N. from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.</image:caption>

She is an associate with the U.S.-Japan Council and a cast member of the Hawaii Society of Professional Journalists' Gridiron show. He was named the 2008 SBA Young Entrepreneur of the Year and Hawaiʻi Korean Entrepreneur of Year in 2012. Tom is the Vice President for Kahiau: A Tennis Foundation, Tennis Committee Chairman at Waialae Country Club, and has served as a board member for GIFT Foundation of Hawaiʻi. Tom graduated from 'Iolani School and the University of Hawaiʻi, where he was a student-athlete, with a bachelor’s in Japanese Language and Literature.</image:caption>

Over 22 years at A&amp;B, he held a range of leadership roles, including CFO, general manager of the HC&amp;S sugar plantation, president of A&amp;B Properties, COO, and CEO. A Michigan native, Chris moved to Hawai‘i in 1992 with his wife, Melissa, who was born and raised in Honolulu. Before joining A&amp;B in 2001, he worked at General Motors, Sony, Booz-Allen and The Queen’s Health Systems. Chris has served on more than a dozen nonprofit boards and chaired several, including The Nature Conservancy Hawai‘i Program, Catholic Charities Hawai‘i’s Board of Advisors, and the Hale Kipa Capital Campaign. Since retiring in 2023, he has focused on climate-related initiatives, founding and chairing Climate Hawai‘i and leading the Governor’s Climate Advisory Team.
